
This one is for my daughter Mia, who loves bananas, loves chocolate and loves any smoothie that is not green! She will still drink the green ones I make her but her eyes truly light up if she finds herself with a dessert smoothie in her hand – understandably ☺️.
This a good alternative for any sweet craving. It will satisfy that sweet need and still has a nice zing of lemon in it to undercut the sweetness of the bananas. It makes enough for 3 normal sized glasses.
Ingredients
2 bananas, sliced
4 heaped tsp. cacao powder (with no added sugar)
300ml oat milk
120g frozen blueberries
Juice of 1/2 a squeezed lemon
• mix until puréed and smooth. If you‘d prefer a thicker consistency, halve the amount of oat milk. If the smoothie is too sweet, increase the amount of lemon juice by adding the juice of a whole lemon.
